Egypt opened its border crossing at Rafah today, allowing Palestinians to enter Egypt at will after four years of blockade. Residents of Gaza immediately took advantage of the new situation by crossing into Egypt for medical treatment, to do business, or to visit relatives.
In other news, during a Gay Pride parade near the Kremlin in Moscow, religious protesters attacked the marchers. Several people were arrested.
