Ditto! Slingbox rocks! And it's even more fun when you have a friend or two in other states that allow you to use their Slingbox to watch events that are blacked out in your own area. :)
Mark
Yup. If I ever switch providers I'm putting a Slingbox in my dad's house so I can watch the NFL Sunday Ticket.
You can pay the Yesnetwork.com 100 bucks to watch the Yankees online at work, or I can watch for free on my Slingbox.

This may be true - further analysis is needed. Either way, concrete roads (like interstates and state highways) are much more resistant to this type of wear than asphalt. And again, the real culprits are soil conditions and thermal expansion/contraction.
If that's the case, then 18 wheels are going to heat up a road faster than four. I'd also like to see the impact of braking on road surfaces. I'm sure it's significant.
It's all more or less pointless because if you want to argue efficiency, the trucks don't rank very high on the scale. Trains win that argument hands down.
If you really want to argue the issue then it should be about how many extra miles or lanes of asphalt are needed to support all the commercial trucks on the road. I'll bet it's a lot.

This is, of course, due to the release of a new version of OS X every 18 months or so compared to the ridiculous periods between Windows versions.
Agreed.

Sometimes it will just sit there on some of my older workstations. Clearing cache or waiting on hardware or whatever the heck it does.
Most times it's installing something. I wait it out and eventually windows will shutdown.
If it's installing something, there's usually something like a "cursor" flashing, but in this case the "cursor" was frozen in place.

I have a Verizon iPhone, and I had it happen. At midnight last night, my phone rolled back to 11pm. I went in to change it manually, and turning off DST corrected it. I left DST and rebooted my phone, and its worked perfectly since. It stayed at midnight then, and this morning, it has successfully rolled forward.
So yes, there is a bug, but a reboot fixed it for me.

sorry, but I will never put a case on my iPhone. It was made to look sexy as it is, naked.
Cases just ruin it.
I put a case on mine to hide the fugly. Sorry, but the iPhone 4 is anything but good looking.

I believe this is a side street, not University. Looks like a cafe on Bryant.
Also, Steve wears the same close because he has better things to think about in the morning than what to wear. That's my understanding. Hell, I wear the same thing for the same reason.
I agree that it's a side street, but don't think it's Bryant. My CA office is just off Bryant, so I've walked it up and down and can't place it. The reflection is what suggests a side street to me.

There's no such thing as a 'normal person'. The 'normal people' he is reffering to are the computer illiterate. Being computer illiterate dosen't make you normal.

Hi Redeye,
I have come accross another bug, or it's my dual G5... or Atszyman is spoking me out! Like he's ever gonna catch up with me!
This is the case: I have three folding widgets running for over a week now, no problem in that week. I have three because I want to monitor someone behind me (Atszyman) and my next overtake in front of me. But when I just looked all three widgets where on Atszyman.

i bet they had people there with MBA's from good schools running financial what if's and telling management to avoid digital because they will make less money due to not selling the film or anything other than the camera
Don't know who said it, but "if you don't cannibalise your products, someone else will". Which is exactly what happened to Kodak.
Greedy or not, if Apple and RIM are part of some patent infringement they have to pay up.
First, there is an "if" in that statement. Second, they wouldn't have to pay what Kodak demands, but actual damages. Third, Kodak has a market caps of $944 million, so if Apple and/or RIM thought there was any danger they have to pay $1bn, they would buy the company. Apparently they don't.

Terrible analogy.
As soon as I can choose whether or not to buy the services your analogy becomes valid. That will be the day :rolleyes:You do so by exercising your voting rights. The services are sold as a bundle. You get to choose which bundle. In theory.

Oh, last time they don't even recommend what they rate as the best smartphone in the market, and now they recommend the iPad 2? Either because there is virtually no tablets on the market or the popularity of iPhone 4 is killing the credibility of CR.

T...who?
Seriously...in my area they are like Bubba's Cell Phone Service.
I'm perfectly content with AT&T, but Verizon sure seems like a better business partner with so many current users.

If it's a reader, I can see this working in concert with the new Easy Pay apple point of sale.
I could walk through a store, hit "read" and conduct inventory instantly.
Gimme.

Apple marketing at it's best. I got one, but did I need one? NO!
But, I did get something I don't really need at 40% off. WINNING!! LOL!

It's not the first time that the Vietnamese got their hands on an unreleased iPhone. The question is why? It's not like that Vietnam has anything to do with anything.
These guys, from what i've seen from them so far, are quite reliable.
IMO, maybe anonymity purposes?
If it's in the Chinese hand then it's probably the hardware mfgr's leak.
If the US then employee's leak.
I guess he's like the shop front, but with an unknown supplier.
EDIT: Oh oh, more visible example: He's like a proxy server. lol.

Not surpising at all. It's all about control of content and money.
All studios, rather music or movie have always hated the idea of selling content even though it makes them a ton of money. If they could do away with all of it, including DVD sells, they would. What they truly want is for you to pay a fee every time you want to view or listen to content and you never "own" anything period. Nothing physical at all to buy, just pay for it every time you view or listen.
Exactly.
In this case, the license is only for delivery to a cable box for viewing on a home TV set. Not for any "mobile" device or otherwise...

It's nice to see that the banner from the Apple website is being replicated at the MW venue (assuming it isn't a fake), but it shouldn't been seen as an indication that 2007 is going to bring amazing products. Remember that apple has a track record of over-hyping itself.

depends on who you are. my bill with 500 more minutes and rollover, 1500 text and unlimited data is only $7 more than yours. of course I have had my voice plan for almost 8 years
and tmobile is simply awful
Only your [minority] opinion. I have been a customer of T-Mo for more than a decade, and I have no complaints except coverage in remote areas (which might be alleviated only with a satellite phone). My 1,000 family minutes and 4 phones and 2 datas cost $177/month, btw.
