it's not like the new android phones are so much better than last year. so far the only dual core ARM Core A9 phone is the Motorola Atrix and it wasn't that good. The VZW Thunderbolt is last year's CPU with LTE. My HTC INspire 4G is the same CPU as the Thunderbolt with HSPA+ and the iphone 4 beats it in uploads

If the page looks like crap if a text area is resized larger than you expected, what's going to happen when a new browser comes out that uses a larger default font in the text area, or adds additional margin padding, etc? If that will make it look like crap, then that's your problem, not the user's!
That's why we use style tags to set a default font (yes, even in text areas) or fixed margins. If the W3 gives us the tools, then why should the browser render them void? That just makes no sense.
We should get back to the way HTML markup is envisioned. The author tags the test by functions like "title" or "larger" and the browser descides how to display it

Mi powerbook g4 wont boot. I just erase and reinstal mac osx, reset NVRam, and use disk utilities to repair HD. But nothing seams to work and in fact i belive it came out worts. The sytems works perfect in safe mode, but in normal mode it just stay in a blue screen, the fan continue to work but nothing else happens.
I reallyneed help because no mac service will be available for some days and I am in desperate need to work on my laptop.

Do you really think there is a limit to how much storage people want? People would rather shuffle more songs than less.

but do the math... 240 songs... average time per song 3 minutes
240 x 3 = 720 minutes / 60 = 12 hours current shuffle battery time
next year we might see a 2GB shuffle with 24 hour battery time

I could not disagree more. There is nothing wrong with a focused keynote. In fact, it is somewhat refreshing once and a while to have a situation where the man himself takes the time to really go into what I believe is one of the most revolutionary concepts I have seen. Not only is it functional, but aesthetically it is amazing. The price is high if you were expecting them to give it away, but the fact is they have pulled it off and brought mobile technology to the next level and far beyond.

If I did it right, I could get a bit over 400 miles out of a fill of gas (not the ENTIRE tank, but what I'd normally fill it to) in my 300C on the freeway. I usually get more like 22mpg than 24 though, because when I go on road trips that car is loaded UP. XD

Well based on the news that Apple's new NC data center was the largest for a single company. I would say yes.
No way ... each gmail account gets upwards of 7 gigabytes of storage ... do you even know how many gmail accounts there are?
Google definitely has more than Apple, it may be that they spread it over multiple data centers, so it's not counted as one.

Since it looks like Apple are trying to remove any Google marks on iOS, I'd predict that eventually the youTube app will be replaced with a generic online video app that allows you to search for videos from multiple video sites. That or they will make it a downloadable app.

just seems to me that people are acting like its a feature that shouldn't be on a phone rather then one that is almost standard. it also just seems that IM's are quicker conversations then texts, but maybe i'm wrong about that cause on phones it's pretty much the same thing.

The 3G iPod opened the doors to all users. The mini added even more style and portability to it, making it very popular. The nano held even more songs in a smaller package with a color screen. The 5G iPod delivered all of the above with the ability to watch TV shows and movies on it. Each iPod has brought something to the table that's new and kept competitors guessing what they would do next. Advertising an iPhone, a major step for them, with instant messaging won't cut it. That's already out there. Up until the release of the 5G iPod, you couldn't buy TV shows legally on the internet. Instant messaging on your phone is offered by all of Apple's potential competitors should they decide to enter the mobile phone market.
yea, but i think that if they do a full tiny keyboard, they will be going for something similar to a sidekick. the sidekick 3 was a major let down.
I love the Sidekick. It's been a hugely successful phone. I think it was great that the SK3 added music, a 1.3 MP shooter, and EDGE, but I do agree they could have at least kept EDGE in there. I think Apple would be smart to make a device similar to the Sidekick. This doesn't mean that they need to make a swiveling screen, (even though it's been patented a million times by Danger) but I think people are starting to warm up to smartphones now. My generation (teen) and my sister's (early 20's) are especially. I have heard that Apple may be launching two devices: one simple phone and a smartphone, which is probably smart because not everyone is interested in a smartphone.

I don't have Coda so can't say where it may be, but look for a character encoding setting in the preferences. I suggest UTF-8 if you can find the setting.

I wonder if the Shuffle will ever have more than 2 gigabytes. It's form factor seems to limit it, not because there'll never 2 gigabyte storage that small (there will), but because you can't select songs. I wonder how useful a 10 gig Shuffle would be. (Maybe it would be useful...
I bet the next revision of the shuffle will be 2GB - and will remain the same form factor (if this proves popular). There currently are FLASH chips in 2GB capacity that would fit right into the new shuffle. The catch is the price... Market value on smaller 2GB chips is about 5X the price of 1GB chips right now. In other words, Apple could release a 2GB version of the G2 Shuffle, it would just cost about another $100 and there probably isn't sufficeint production yield of 2GB chips yet. But in it's new/current form, the small size and ~240 song capacity for about $80 makes it a real winner.
