I think Apple will deliver a solid update to Final Cut Pro. I think this lag was caused a bit by the transition to 64-bit and the fact that Apple didn't manage to get Quicktime X completed in time. I think the next version of FCP will be 64-bit and will come with a new version of Quicktime X which will finally put Quicktime 7 to rest.
I would be surprised if we saw a 64 bit fcp before Lion. Apples qtkit API, which is thie only QuickTime API that you can compile in 64 bit, is really, REALLY primitive. Its going to require massive updating befor you would even think of running something like fcp with it. You cannot do anything more advanced than splice two videos together with it now. Hell even enumerating all th e codecs you can export to requires going down to 32 bits, and even the stuff that does compile in 64 bit requires a separate 32 bit process to actually do the work. T e sad thing is that apple has had plenty of time to update this API but they have essentially done nothing with it, which shows you how much they care about the pro users nowadays :mad:

If TJ Maxx got their hands on enough stock who the F cares and go pick one up if you want one! I'm personally waiting for Gen 2 with FaceTime.

I have a 3GS with 4.1. I would like to got to 4.2.1. I downloaded the 4.2.1 firmware, when I hit shift-restore 4.2.1 itune gave me an error messaage. Can I use other software to upgrade? Thanks.

I know, or knew, a few people holding off on the white iPhone 4. But people may hold off until the iPhone 5

I had .mac two years ago but didn't renew it. I use Fastmail.fm for email and have a reseller web hosting account with gigabytes of space, and pay less than $99/year for both. Here's the things that would make me consider paying for .mac:

My Galaxy S is fast, fun, and one of my absolute favorites.
But then again, my iPhone 4 would be number one if it had a good phone. I'm hoping my belief in Apple is reinforced when the next iPhone is released.
My first choice is an iPhone as my primary smartphone.
Perhaps Apple will get this one right. :)

Go to settings,general,scroll down to international. Might be hard to decipher as it is a foreign language. International is the 4th one up from the bottom.

I think Microsoft's Remote Desktop is a wonderful app.Agreed, this is a very handy app. Unfortunately, when I tried it a few months ago, it wouldn't work for me. It took me a while to figure out why. The answer: All the PCs I wanted to connect to have Symantec pcAnywhere (http://sea.symantec.com/content/product.cfm?productid=16) installed, and that prevents Microsoft's app from working, whether by design or for some technical reason. So I can't control the PCs as I'd hoped.

Yep... Confirmed here too. But for the size, design and price of this little unit I just can't find anything to complain about. ...The laser engraving could have been a bit bigger, but hey I can read it just fine - just my name and phone number in case I lose it at the gym.

when he said were releasing three new products today, i was like 'oh thats cool, a fair few then'. then he goes 'but there all in the iphone', i ddnt know what to think, did he expect me to be happy they were only releasing 1 instead of 3 products. :(

As of Monday morning: Menlo Park Mall Apple store = zero. Bridgewater Commons Apple store = zero. Best Buy in East Brunswick = got a new shipment of 32 Gb wi-fi blacks. Plenty left as of 11 AM.
