Also I even tried restoring twice into earlier OS X Lion backups but that didn't even work :/ :(
I had a similar problem with Lion DP1. I erased the HD with Apples Disk Utility and reinstalled Lion DP1. However, the safe boot works usually in the final versions of Mac OS X.

Recently, I've noticed that the Finder isn't running when I start up my iBook and log in. The little arrow indicator isn't under the Finder icon in the Dock, and when I click on the Finder icon, it pops up a message that says something like "Finder is not running".
Strangely, the Finder does seem to be working, at least my idea of what the Finder is. I can open windows, move files around, etc. I can also bring up the Force Quit menu and Restart the Finder. After that everything looks OK. I tried Repair Permissions, thinking that might help, but this weird behavior still happens. Any ideas...?
One idea I'm considering is reinstalling Jaguar from the original CD, but I'm wondering: (1) will my user files be erased and (2) can I install 10.2(.0) over 10.2.6?

I have a Super Disk drive. It's like ZIP disks, only they're 120MB. It's USB and something else which might be SCSI. I could include 5+ 120MB Superdisks. This drive will also read 1.44MB Floppy Disks. The drive itself is an IMATION Super Disk Drive and is clear in color.

I'm not convinced about the graphics yet and it's a shame you can't play old Gameboy games on it (only advance). Not a fan of the stylus, but I'll keep a look out on ebay for a bargain. Is there any info on this new console?
Not really. Nintendo is as secretive as Apple, but usually better at preventing leaks, so there's pretty much nothing. The only known facts so far are that it will be shown at E3 (June 15th), will be compatible with the DS and DSi, and that it will have an autostereoscopic 3D display, which is why it's called 3DS.
Everything else is just speculation, more or less grounded in reality. It seems like it'll have at least one analog stick and two different displays (a 16x9 display, probably a high resolution parallax barrier display manufactured by Sharp that might or might not be multitouch, and a 4x3 display, probably a non-3D stylus driven touchscreen), and it supposedly has very good graphics for a handheld device, possibly well above PSP levels. It might have a Virtual Handheld service that allows you to download and play Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance games. But those are only rumors.

Does anyone know "if" or when a refresh for Time Capsule 1T is coming out? It has been some time now, and I have read users have had issues with it.
Some users have had their hard drives go out, losing their data after about 1.5 years of use. :confused: It is in multiple feedback entries on Apple's Store site...
Any thoughts? I would like to purchase one, but I am reconsidering...would like some advise. Thanks

I myself like the 300Gb maxtor, it is a little bit noiser then the seagate but the 16mb cache does make it feel snappy. Besides it makes the most sense in $. It is jus a little bit more than less storage and a lot less than those with 400 or 500Gb. My 2 cents.
For 3 platters you can get a 400GB Seagate.

I really hope Oracle can maintain an Apple version of Java, otherwise this will be a very sad day for people who use OSX and Java together.
Oracle has long dumped Oracle for OSX, so I'm not hopeful that Oracle Java 7 will ever see the light of day on Macs.
No Java - No OpenOffice and a load of other apps on OSX.
Also, quite a portion of Java developers use OSX too...
Even the Apple discussions board is powered by Java / JSP!
You missed the real story -- in the release notes Apple explain that they're deprecating the Apple maintained version of Java:

Apple have provided a mechanism for installing 3rd party JDKs (in particular OpenJDK), but it likely won't work with current versions of Java IDEs (Netbeans, Eclipse etc) until they're updated to work with the new paths.

I'm a professional DJ who specializes in weddings. In my consultations I actually encourage brides and grooms to consider breaking the tradition about seeing each other and staging some special "reveal" moment prior to the ceremony where they can see each other and take a few minutes together. This allows for them to give their photographer much more time prior to the ceremony to get creative and fun shots and doesn't set up the typical nightmare of trying to get most or all of the formals after the ceremony and before the reception where guests are waiting and things are stressful.
Regardless of seeing each other before, the groom will still have those "holy cow" feelings with knots in his stomach when the doors open and she starts down the aisle. My wife and I used this method at our own wedding and it made things so much smoother and took a lot of pressure off of our photographer.

My only comment: it can be kinda noisy because of the fans (and not only the faulty 1st revision), which is some time annoying because it's in front of you, on the desk (instead of under the table, obviously).

Based on reviews, specifications, and recommendations, I think I'm gonna go with the Crucial C300 256GB. It's $474 from Amazon, has decent reviews on there and around the web (that I've seen), and looks like it'll do the job great.
I'm not going to place my order quite yet though - try and talk me out of it! Haha.
...I went with the crucial m225 series since it still had a 5 year warranty... if something happens to it I know crucial stands behind their products and maybe I'll get the latest, greatest at the time as a "plus"!
Its in my whitebook and working fine as I notice no slowdown (been in a year or so)...

I'd almost agree with you on this, but plastic MacBooks are incredibly flimsy machines.
My first apple laptop was a first gen macbook (plastic). It was pretty sturdy I thought. It scratched easily, but that's it. It survived a fair share of bumps and lumps. I got rid of it because I needed more screen...
