The Wii is definitely being replaced with an Xbox and Kinect though.
The Wii "won" because of its software library and low price. The Kinect looks to have a standard console launch with a handful of supporting titles and is a peripheral to boot.

Sadly I'm bored with 3dS titles. Now back to playing DSI titles on it.

Pardon my ignorance. I've never used a server before, but now that it is being opened up for free in Lion, is this something that I could benefit from? What can it be used for from average home consumers?
I'm not average but I use it at home. Here's the list of services I use:
DNS
DHCP
Open Directory
DynDNS Update
TimeMachine backup for 5 Macs
Windows VM to run Quicken (Screen Sharing to view)
File Sharing for music, pictures, video, software archival storage.
AddressBook server to sync address book among computers and iTouches
iCal server to sync and share calendars among computers and iTouches.
Printer/Scanner server for shared all-in-one
VPN server to access network away from home

gah, seriously apple needs to talk to geforce/ati and get some decent drivers, cause the beta is so much smoother in bootcamp.
shame, with steam incoming soon.
i will never play sc2 on mac as it is now
The thing is that OS X uses OpenGl, where Windows uses DirectX. I'd agree with you, but I'd prefer running in OS X vs rebooting and my macbook running hotter. Plus while in the b.net menus, I can resize with apple + m, and open safari real quick, yet still be in the game. Plus, even on low, the game still looks pretty cool in my opinion.

I sincerely hope not. I'd rather have anything other than a poor metal track being played continually on the radio over the festive period.
Even a poor cover of a poor Miley Cyrus song?

Don't ever underestimate conservatives. Sorry for exporting our stupidity Canada. Hopefully, you guys figure this out fast and don't lose too much of what you have built.

what kind of school would need the ipad over a mac or pc?
It's up to innovative schools to decide whether, and how, iPads have a role in schools. They might have good uses in classrooms, libraries, labs, reading clubs, alongside computers, instead of computers, or who knows.

I wonder if this increase is an accurate reflection of the market. PC sales always tend to drop off hugely in the run up to a new windows release.

TV is trash anyway. Who has time left to waste watching commercials & shodily slapped together shows?
Have time to kill? Do something constructive on Inkpad or iDraw.
Want some light entertainment on while you do something productive? Netflix
Want something cheap and raunchy? Youpr0n
There is nothing TV does that one of these other things doesn't do better.

[QUOTE=HobeSoundDarryl;12235279]"Now with airplay" seems too far down the benefit list to drive many sales of TVs. I doubt it would be touted in any mainstream way- just as another line item of something else the TV can do. I don't picture people choosing to buy new TVs because they come with that particular benefit.[QUOTE]

If it is real, a nice upgrade in the 128GB. Im not sure about the capacitive home button, I've gotten really use to the physical button on my iPhone.
This could be the death of the Classic if this is real. Honestly I'd rather that the classic die and a larger screen device replace it. Something in the 5" range hopefully with even more flash storage.

Unfortunately iDisk is as slow as buggery, and always has been. Apple have done nothing to improve performance.
The new webmail interface is nice but thats it - a face lift, no new functionality.
You could but a "Name (Appear in From: )" for email aliases. Before it was the email alias. Not a big wow, but new.

Domestically, I basically only fly Jet Blue so I guess no iPod integration for me...

Um.. All of that looks the same. I really don't see many changes since Snow Leopard Server.. I will feel relieved as long as everything is still there. It all works pretty well once you know what you're doing.
I don't want to have to switch back to linux server admin... that's a nightmare.
More or less OSX server has always just been normal OSX with some server bits thrown in. Most of the packages are just open source unix/linux programs with a GUI on top.
You can install Apache and configure it yourself on a normal OSX install but.. I prefer the GUI rather then sort through httpd.conf in nano or vi.

There better be a bigger screen or I'm dumping Apple like a cold dirty ice cube and switching to android. It's basically an iphone, which is why Sammy is getting sued :)

So a 17 year old can do it but a gigantic company with $50 billion lying there can't. Seems logical to me.
Wake up Steve. Seriously.
i'm sure all these white cases are the ones that Apple didn't want
i would buy a kit, but not for that much. i know it includes the digitizer and LCD. still not worth it

You know, the most ridiculous thing is when the Libya quarrel and everything ends I'm pretty certain the prices won't go down as much as they've gone up. We've seen this before.
