Dearest Nao, please be safe.

I was awake from 4am doing my report until around 8am when I saw the horrible news online.
Had a panic attack that morning knowing the area in Japan where the tsunami attacked was Sendai, where Nao's hometown is

Nao, was one of closest friend in Aberdeen during my 1st university year, sadly, she was a one-year exchange student. We met again in Japan a year after that and explored Tokyo together with Jeri. She became a really busy person ever since she got her job.

I sent her text and emails straight away when I heard about the disaster.
But till now I haven't heard a news from her :( I'm really worried.
I pray hoping Nao, her family and her cats are fine. Ya Allah, semoga dorang selamat, amin.

My deepest condolence to all the victims in Japan who are affected by the earthquake and tsunami, I pray for their quick recovery from this unfortunate event.

Nippon Connections had another Onigiri sale today,
but this time, all the proceeds of our sale will go to the Japan earthquake and tsunami Appeal.
We even set up 3 donation piggies.
I was busy with my computer practical today but Jeri told me many people came in just to donate.
We've collected 200pounds just from the piggies themselves ;) and that doesn't include the profits from our onigiri sale.
I would like to thank you to all the people who made the donation!

Let me post up the draft I made from last week

Graze box
I am currently receiving nibble box from Graze 2 times a week and I look forward every time!
The first box was a free gift from O2 surprises, and since it was free, I thought to give it a try.
I fell in love ever since I opened neat package.

I also receive emails what's going to be in my next package, upon receiving them, they will ask me to rate the food they sent.
I especially love the dried food (mango) and nuts!
It was free for the 1st box, then half price for the 2nd. From then on it's 3.49pound every box, but I don't want them to stop coming! Tuesday and Thursday, that's when my healthy food arrives every week ^^
Graze, you make me feel like a rodent, but I am still loving you.

Still can't stop thinking of you,
dearest Nao, please be safe.

The things I did on J-Day

Dearest readers,
tell me honestly.....
Why do you blog?
For fun? For attention? For money?

I asked this question all the time. I would say its a non profitable activity for me.
My guess would be self-satisfaction
Maybe this is a replacement for my daily diary habit I had before internet became important parts of my life.
Who knows.

Moving on
Japan Day in Robert Gordon University few days ago.
I didn't bother to wear yukata so I left mine home. But then, I was asked to wear Yoko san's yukata instead.

A bit sakai though, cause it's a real one (my yukata was just a clip-on).

Some of the day event photos

This is our (Nippon Connections) booth.
(With some of the past events posters on the wall)

What you see on our booth

Other things I did (which was not supposed to be on the list)
Drawing people..
I drew a few other people on that day out of boredom.
It makes me happy just to see how people appreciated it. ^^
Picture above was taken by Peter,
the man that gave a contribution to the whole Aberdeen friends of Japan by being the official photographer of the day. All his pictures are amazing as usual :) but I only took 1 this time.

The thing about me.
I always bring 'stuffs' (like drawing pens and sketchbook) in case there's nothing much to do.

But this time...
Guess what other things I brought along with me?

Nail colours!
Isn't it pweeettty? :)

Today~ let's talk about JAMS! I love jams, do you love jams?~ Doesn't matter what fruit~ i simply love them! Especially Peter's jam! Hopefully the free jam will keep on coming in ;) *wink*wink*

Last night i had the best fish soup ever!! ~ And it was made by the same person who made my favoarite jam! Thank you so much for the amazing food Peter! ;D

Back to jams~
Last summer in Japan, when we were wwoofing at Shinji san's Beberui..

.....We got the opportunity to pick berries and made jams out of it! @-@ I was so damn sakai.

MARY AND MAX!!

Its the best stop motion clay animation i have ever watch! The film took an hour and a half~ and unlike others, this animation cut me deep, guess it was meant for adults~

Its about the 18 years of penpal friendship between two different people from different part of the world. A lonely 8-year-old girl from Australia and a 44-year-old obese man with Asperger's Syndrome from NY!

Very interesting!
Please watch the trailer! ;D

Sweeeet~ (^_^) I love! (Japan Days)

Sweet treats! Im craving for fruity sweet treats! .. NO, Not TOO sweet thank you very much~ I mean, do you ever realise that the food in uk are a bit too much for your sweet tongue?

Anyway, thanks to Mami (for checking my grammar), Im done with my 'Gradualism and Punctuated Equilibrium' essay. What more to say? She's the BEST mum in the whole wide world~!! I love you very much mami T_T Becoz of you, i have time to blog now! What? The photoshopped pictures? Dont worry, i've done these incit incit kali ah.

Okay, back to my manis saya sayang topic.

These days i've been craving for some of those treats i've tried back in Japan~.. :) Here, im going to show you some of the manis-manis masa jalan-jalan di negeri orang.

Shibuya 109
In this building, its all about fashion and beauty~ and you hardly see guys there!
On the top floor, you'll find a small stall called Pure berry.
Here they sell COLLAGEN-infused frozen yogurt (for long lasting beauty) where customers get to fashion their cup with many different types of toppings.

But then me, Nao and Jerry rather choose what's best in the menu~
Dont remember what's the name~ but omg, i just can't explain how nice it was!Awu sampai ternangis nangis ani bahh whahaha

Next
Lets go to Harajuku!

Seems that crepes are pretty popular with the teens! So i thought~ although its nothing much new to me, there's no harm giving harajuku ones a try.

Harajuku was overcrowded with people! There's a few crepe stations found~ but then I chose one called Angels Heart (since so many people there).

The plastic menu
(in which in reality, they only put a little fillings inside)Even though there were many people, the service was pretty quick! So i didnt even have to wait long. Bagus! Bagus!
*Watching staff making my strawberry and ice-cream crepe.
Nyeh, the filling so little and unorganised compare to what you see in the plastic menu (memang patut la). But it was a satisfaction anyway haha. Very quick ba.. and if so many fillings, how to eat?Owh~ notice the amount of people there!!

The end, bye-bye Tokyo.
Okay, lets fly to Hokkaido!!
For the 1st week, me and Jerry went WWOOFing in the country side of Hokkaido called Furano!
I was very nice of our host Shinji-san to gave us a holiday during my birthday! ^_^
It was such an unforgetable experience, but now i'll just talk about the wonderful fruity sweet treat i had on that day. :P
Furano Jam Garden was one of our stop that day (Thanx to Ume-san to bring us here)
The place was filled with..:Some of the jams are somewhat funny to me~ like the vegetable jams.. I tried a carrot jam and it tasted sweet and nice (doesnt taste like carrot at all!).
So anyway, thatz not it.
It was the Jam with ice cream that got me big time!I ordered a set with Midori Leafty cake. They even serve free hot olong tea!
So we sat and tried them on a table outside..
Green tress, cool breeze, sweet treats and hot tea...
Owh man.... tell me whats better than this??! \(^o^)/
So i guess that was my favoarite so far.
Moving on~.. to the 2nd week in Hokkaido.
We were in Sapporo. And i saw:
Marvelous Cream French Sweets Parfait
Well, these looks like all other thousands of other cake shop you see~ Cute decor, cute cakes, cute staffs. Again, these kind of place is famous for the ladies~ So i wonder, how come it seems like only ladies love cakes?
So asked for the best in the menu again~ (klau best mesti paling nyaman kan?!)
I enjoyed looking at the staff making it really~ squash picit kruk krak kruk.
Tada!
Another satisfaction baby!
And~.. thats it!
Before i go, lets have a 'Get To Know Pu3' session!
"So baby, what is your favoarite ice-cream flavor?"
Pu3: "JUBUR!!!
Apakan~ nada deh haha (dude why am i so lame) Its pitachio and sesame~ ah if only aberdeen sells sesame ice-cream!''
TIMES UP!
Session's over!
*LOTS OF LOVE EVERYONE!*
