LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Honeymoon in Mexico

Newlyweds LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian finally left on their honeymoon Sunday-one month after they tied the knot, PEOPLE reports. The couple is vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Rimes and Cibrian weren't able to take an immediate honeymoon due to Rimes' work schedule but the country crooner told the magazine they were hoping to squeeze one in not long after the wedding.

"We have to go back to work right away. The next four to five weeks hopefully, we'll be able to take a honeymoon. That's the plan," she said.

The couple was photographed at Los Angeles International Airport as they prepared to depart on their trip. They were spotted Monday walking hand-in-hand on the beach at Esperanza Resort, where they are staying.

"Beautiful night on the beach!!!!" Rimes Tweeted Sunday night. "Going to sleep to the waves tonight!!!!" she added later.

On Monday, the singer also took to her Twitter page: "We've been out for 2 hrs on the beach and in the pool!"

Rimes showed off her toned bod in a rhinestone studded, champagne colored bikini.

"They were very affectionate, always kissing, hugging, holding hands and laughing throughout the day," a source told Us Magazine.

Although Rimes took a lot of heat pre-wedding for her dramatic weight loss, the country crooner looks happy and healthy.

Debuting as husband and wife, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian emerged from the Malibu, Calif. home they were married in, looking very much in love.

The newlyweds hopped into Cibrian's classic Corevette convertible to drive off in wedded bliss, but first put on a show of affection for the waiting paparazzi. The two held hands and kissed for the cameras before they headed to the Moonshadows Restaurant, where the couple were hosting a celebration for family and friends.

The pair tied the knot in a surprise ceremony on Friday night, surrounded by close relatives and family.

LeAnn Rimes Marries Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have tied the knot.

The surprise wedding on Friday night was a small, intimate ceremony in California, witnessed by approximately 40 friends and relatives, according to People.com.

"LeAnn and Eddie were happily married...surrounded by their closest family and friends," said a spokesman for the bride. "They thank everyone for their well wishes."

Cibrian's sons from his first marriage (Mason, 7, and Jake, 4) were among the guests, who had all been invited to a party on the premise of celebrating the couple's engagement. Instead, on a private Malibu property overlooking the Pacific, the country singer and the actor exchanged marriage vows and wedding bands.

Their engagement happened in December when Cibrian popped the question with a five-carat diamond ring. About her fiance, Rimes tweeted, "The ring is beautiful, man is better :)"

Earlier, this month, Rimes was spotted looking thinner than usual, but she fired back against allegations of an eating disorder.

Another thing she has staunchly defended is her relationship, even though it began in 2009 as an extramarital affair on a TV movie set while both were still wed to their previous spouses. "I didn't have the tools to know how to do it the right way, how to let go the right way," Rimes recently said of ending her marriage to Dean Sheremet, who's now engaged to a new girlfriend. "I'd never been taught that."

Cibrian was in an eight-year marriage to Brandi Glanville, the mother of his two sons, when he first fell for the Grammy-winning singer. In January, Glanville said, "There is still a lot of animosity, but hopefully, one day, we can move through that and get to a better place."
