Justin Bieber Shows Up at MTV Movie Awards

Justin Bieber surprised fans and fellow celebrities alike when he showed up on stage to accept his award for Best Jaw Dropping Moment for his dance performance in 'Never Say Never' at tonight's MTV Movie Awards.

The teen sensation was reportedly not coming to the star studded event, but appeared from backstage to accept his popcorn award from Danny McBride, Nick Swardson and Aziz Ansari, dressed as Bieber's pal Jaden Smith. The trio joked about the teen being a no show before the crowd cheered as the 17-year-old walked into the stage lights.

Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez even walked the red carpet solo, which some may imagine wasn't easy. The young lovebirds have been inseparable as of late, with romantic romps on the beach and family outings in Canada these two haven't been able to keep their hands off one another. But did his former Disney Princess ruin the surprise?

While on the red carpet, Gomez was asked her if her famous beau was going to be there tonight and after first replying yes, she quickly changed her tune with a chorus of no's. Was she just as surprised as the rest of us or did she let the cat out of the bag?

‘X-Men: First Class’ Opens Strong With $3.4 Million in Midnight Showings

X-Men: First Class is expected to do well at the box office this weekend after its midnight showings grossed about $3.4 million!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is happy with the midnight grosses, and the film has slightly bested Thor‘s first-night ticket sales ($3.3 million).

Fox reports that the film should earn between $48 million and $55 million, which would rank it between openings for Batman Begins and the first X-Men.

However, if X-Men: First Class continues to do as well as Thor, then it could open at closer to $65 million.

X-Men: First Class has been praised in reviews and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Zoƫ Kravitz and Kevin Bacon.

Will Smith’s Trailer Creates Controversy in SoHo

Ever wondered what a 53-foot double-decker bus looks like in the middle of SoHo? If you’re Will Smith and shooting Men in Black III, you’ll have to look real hard. He was forced to move the
super-sized movie trailer and separate gym trailer to a nearby parking lot in NYC.

As reported by The New York Post, Will was forced to move his trailers to a lot because they were eating up business revenues as well as filling narrow streets with fumes. Residents complained about the monstrosity. Now that the trailer is parked in a nearby lot, Will has the option to go to the marble-floored station to get his make-up done or perhaps walk to his apartment on Bond Street.

Earlier in the day yesterday he joked it off in jovial fashion as to why he needed such a big ride. “It’s hilarious,” he said.

Apparently city officials didn’t quite think it was a laughing matter. In a statement from the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting they indicated, ” To balance the interests of the production and the neighborhood, we have instructed Men in Black 3 to relocate the trailer to a private lot.”

Public Safety Committee Chair Peter Vallone, Jr. said, “Hardworking New Yorkers have a right to wake up in the morning and not find a cruise ship parked out in front of their house. This is New York, not Hollywood. We don’t roll that way.”

The original version of the film launched Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career in 1982. Do you think it will do the same for Jason?

Watch Tyler Perry Get the ‘South Park’ Treatment

Tyler Perry got the South Park treatment last night. Madea — one of the most beloved characters created by actor/director/producer — was brought to life by South Park animators and we can’t
help but wonder what Spike Lee has to say.

Spike has publicly decried Tyler’s extremely popular Madea series as “coonery buffoonery” and last night South Park took a jab at him.

On the episode, Tyler shows up at the school’s comedy awards show, called “The Kathy Griffin Awards” Salon reports.

Tyler’s animated presence continues throughout the episode, and Token Black (the only African-American South Park kid) always seems to laugh, demonstrating the stereotype that all black people can’t help but to love Tyler.

Mike Tyson's Tattoo Artist Sues to Stop Release of 'Hangover 2'

S. Victor Whitmill, the award-winning tattoo artist who gave Mike Tyson his well-known facial ink, filed a lawsuit in federal court in Missouri on Thursday seeking an injunction against Warner Bros.
that would stop the studio from releasing 'The Hangover Part 2.'

"When Mr. Whitmill created the Original Tattoo, Mr. Tyson agreed that Mr. Whitmill would own the artwork and thus, the copyright in the Original Tattoo," the court papers read (via The Hollywood Reporter). "Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. – without attempting to contact Mr. Whitmill, obtain his permission, or credit his creation – has copied Mr. Whitmill's Original Tattoo and placed it on the face of another actor ... This unauthorized exploitation of the Original Tattoo constitutes copyright infringement."

In 'The Hangover Part 2,' the character played by Ed Helms wakes up after a long night of partying with a facial tattoo similar to Tyson's. THR notes that it will be difficult for Warner Bros. to argue that the tats are "coincidentally similar" because Tyson was featured in the first 'Hangover' film and the ink sported by Helms in the second movie seems to be a "direct comedic reference to Tyson."

Warners, which was forced to make a large payout to the author of the source material for its 'Dukes of Hazzard' film when he filed an injunction to stop its release, will have to prove that the copyright isn't valid (or settle with Whitmill, who calls the ink "one of the most distinctive tattoos in the nation"). In order to do so, the studio can argue that they changed the design enough that it doesn't constitute infringement or that it's a parody.
