F-Secure sells security software for getting rid of adware.
F-Secure claims to have found adware for Mac without providing evidence.
COINCIDENCE!?
I think not!

The perception was that he was not in charge for a few years. If he was in a mansion and not a cave he might have still have a bigger role than we thought. I don't think this will end Al Qaeda but it could slow them down for a while.
I agree ... the question now is ... what role did the people in that mansion play?
this story is just beginning

i'd love if every application would have a different "top bar" color. that would be great for fast recognition/switching between apps,
e.g:
blue/green itunes,
gray safari
violet mail
leather ical
ecc..
i'm just guessing

You are just embarrassing yourself with that 'source'.

Read the 190 page structure report from the department of defense for yourself. My source was just a simple exert of the baseline report. Face the reality that we are over extended in many ways... and I am really glad your not handling my portfolio :P

So how many people can't update their iPad 1s? My wife's 16GB wifi model updated with no problem. My 64GB wifi model still says "device incompatible with this build". No amount of reseting or restoring will change that.

That doesn't mean anything. 12 divided by 5 has a remainder of 2. You and Plutonius where at the last two on the list of players.

The "Install VMWare Tools" botton is miss labled. It does not install them. What it does is replace your CDROM with an image file. Try thse steps:
1) click "Install VMWare Tools"
2) Go inside your guest OS and look at the CDROM drive.
3) From Inside the OS install what you find on the CDROM.
4) Re-boot the guest OS.
Thanks Chris,
What the problem was is that I had installed WindowsXP from and .iso image, so after the installation and everything was up and running, the D Drive "D:\" was still that .iso. I had to change the D drive to the actual DVD-ROM and the restart. Once that was done I had no problems installing the VMWare Tools.

I honestly think that he's just ****ing with everyone.
I disagree. He's seriously ill. Just look at the guy. He's one year older than I am and he looks ten years older.

My weekend beer purchase was some Blue Moon.
I've almost always got a pretty full stock of Blue Moon and Hoeegarden.

Does anyone know if the home sharing play count bug has been fixed? I'd upgrade if it has but if it hasn't I'll stick with my 4.3.1 jailbreak.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about there was a bug where home sharing to device was not updating song play counts in iTunes like it's suppose to.
It's not a bug.
You had to manually tick a box which counted Home Sharing play counts on the iTunes overall one.

My contract ends in may but i dont want to wait till september for a contract renewal.

$9,500,000,000 - that's just sitting around in cash with no long term debt. I think Apple's got plenty of "stamina"...
Apple are not going to blow all that on the iPod, they would abandon the market long before that.
Shareholders would revolt, Jobs would be kicked out ( again ).
However, this threat ( a very real threat ) from microsoft may see Apple pick the pace up on iPod evolution, which has been fairly slow.
However, Microsoft haven't been that successful in the hardware market, a lot more products ( i.e., routers ) have failed than succeeded, so their track record isn't so good. XBox still isn't making a profit - again thats another example of a long term strategy that microsoft will hope will pay off in the future. Short term pain for long term gain!

Yeah, isn't it nice when people decide unilaterally what is "professional" and what is not? The distinctions are totally arbitrary of course, but it's easy to see how by virtue of this thinking, Word remains dominant. Nothing else will do, because nothing else will do. What a wonderful tautology.
For the record, I've been using Pages happily and successfully since it came out. Version 2 is an improvement, as well it should be, but that's a long way from saying that version 1 was worthless.
From his rebuttal, I guess we didn't read what he meant from what he said.
I actually got quite good use from version 1 after they added the page sorter.

if you buy headphones for the style, you shouldn't be buying pairs that cost three digits.
You should buy whatever you want if you can afford it no matter what the squares say.

I can't believe you guys could be such hypocrites!
You spend over 1,000 on an Apple computer and complain about a pathetic little 20 a year for a cloud service?? Seriously, if you're THAT cheap I'm surprised you're not joining the Win PC fanboys in saying "Macs are overpriced junk". Seriously, you have to buy your OWN storage space so why do you think Apple would give you theirs for free?? They're a business, not a charity.
If you wanna use the service, pay for it. If you're not interested then don't. But don't start complaining Apple is charging a ridiculously small amount for using THEIR hard drives. It might by called "the cloud" but your data is still stored somewhere, and that somewhere is on Apple's servers. They weren't free for them, so why the hell should they be free for you?
Oh, also, if you're so cheap why not sell your shiny Macs and use the money to buy yourself TWO Win PCs. That way your precious money goes further.
(Apologies to the ones who haven't complained for having to put up with my little rant there, but surely you can see why this irritates me. :\)

So what are you expecting?
I'm not expecting anything really. I'm just disputing the claim that re-designed MacPro is "innovative". And it seems that you are agreeing with me.
In case you hadn't noticed, pretty much everything in the computer industry had been done before, or can be seen as an adaption of something else. So by your definition, there are no new ideas and therefore no innovation anywhere. Which leads me to ask, what innovative things are you looking for, that you feel you can criticize Apple for not being innovative enough?
Apple HAS innovated, and I'm not claiming otherwise. I merely said that the things the original poster listed were NOT innovative. And it seems that you are agreeing with me. So what are you complaining about? Because I said something that is 100% fact?

Why not just let him have his emotional argument? Why do you have to correct him or specify anything? If it doesn't concern the consumer (us), why not just let the issue be regardless of what one person or another has to say. This is a forum, a place to voice opinion, nothing more. If you wanna hear your right or you have strong arguments, okay yep.
His argument wasn't emotional, it was a statement of fact (not an opinion). It just so happens that statement wasn't actually grounded in the current situation.
