My Personal Review for The Charlie Factor by Diana DiRicci

I love Diana DiRicci's books. A fabulous writer, great friend and an all around wonderful human being that I am proud to know. I was finally able to sit down last night and read The Charlie Factor. One word-awesome.

Let me count the ways The Charlie Factor is a great MM Story to enjoy....

Two people meet on a beach and there begins a friendship that will change both lives forever.

Charlie Baker is existing.....hiding fromthe world after a house fire set by his boyfriend almost killed him and leaves him with scars physically, mentally and emotionally. Pushing everyone away, Charlie hides from the world, determined to live in a bubble, away from people. But when a puppy named Samson comes by, Charlie finds a friend in both the dog and the owner, Greg. Finding out that Greg is straight has Charlie relaxing and cautiously accepting the friendship Greg offers. But what happens when friendship turns to love?

Greg Anders loves the beach and meeting Charlie was a bonus. A man clearly in need of a friend, Greg offers a friendship that has both men enjoying each others company. Until Greg finds himself dealing with his deepening feelings for Charlie. As Greg wrestles with the conflicting emotions, both have to figure out if they should grab the love they both need or let it walk away, destroying not just one heart but two.

Diana DiRicci writes a beautiful story of two people who have issues. One is afraid to live again after a fire nearly destroys him and the other is unknowing that he could be attracted to another man.  The writing was pure perfection-tight, flowed smoothly and delivers complex emotions that the reader feels along with the characters.

Charlie & Greg struck a nerve with me. Charlie is hiding-from  himself, his future, from life in general. Mourning the life he used to have is gone and thinking no one could ever like him, he is stunned to find this handsome man offering friendship. Greg is seemingly straight and that makes Charlie safe...until he falls for the man and then watch out.....misunderstandings, miscommunications and emotions come into play that leave the reader rooting for Charlie and Greg to work their issues out. Both characters have issues and this author does a great job in communicating them to the reader within the pages of The Charlie Factor.  There were some wonderful secondary characters that had me giggling over and I am anxious to see if they will get their own story in the future.

Diana DiRicci takes a seemingly boring topic (Gay man and Straight man fall for one another) and brings a new twist to it so it is fresh, new and one that captures the readers heart when the last page is read.  If you are looking for a heartfelt story to enjoy on a summer afternoon, then grab The Charlie Factor.  It is one I am hoping to read again soon.

My Rating for The Charlie Factor: 4 Stars

The Charlie Factor is now available at Amazon and at Purple Sword Publications

My Personal Review for Stirring Up Trouble by ZA Maxfield

I had the pleasure of reading one of the funniest and well written books I have read in a awhile. Stirring Up Trouble is funny, heart warming and sexy all wrapped with a big red bow. Ms. Maxfield delivers a story that will charm the socks off of you and leave you smiling once the last page is read.

Now onto my review of Stirring Up Trouble......

All Toby Andrews knows is that he is a good Chef but has lousy luck when it seems bad things happen whenever he is around. He can’t help it when things go wrong, he just magically in the thick of it. Forced out of working the haute cuisine in the heart of New York City, Toby finds himself unemployed and eager to get revenge on the food critic that destroyed his dreams. Finding work at a local restaurant that is on its last legs, Le Potiron, Toby finds he likes the area, the people and especially the surly owner/cook, Evan Blankenship. Sparks fly between the two men as both men find out the lesson in success as they work together in and out of bed to make Le Potiron successful.

I got to admit, I love stories with a little humor tossed in the story to liven things up. Z. A. Maxfield does a wonderful job in creating a story that is funny, sweet and sexy all at the same time. Ms. Maxfield is a talented author who knows how to create the right balance when adding humor to her stories. Too much overwhelms, too little makes it seem off balanced. This author knows how to keep the balance and delivers a classic comedy story that will have you laughing out loud at times while rooting for Toby and Evan to get their happily ever after.

What I loved the most was the setting. I could literally picture Le Potiron in my head and the delightful cast of characters that run it. All the characters were multi-dimensional, flawed beings that I could relate to. Toby had an ego but he was so charming it was cute. Evan hated people and being in the restaurant business, all he wanted to do was cook and not deal with them. Enter in Toby. Sparks fly between the two as Toby helps Evan and La Potiron become a success. Toby also learns that he cannot just steamroll over Evan either. It was fun to see these two work out their differences even as their relationship grew amid the pages. A few secondary characters had me hoping they return in the second book, All Stirred Up. They kept the story moving nicely and there was no interruptions in point of view.

Stirring Up Trouble is a perfect beach read on a sunny afternoon. Light hearted, sensual and fun, ZA Maxfield has another winner. I am eager to see what goes on when we see what happens to Evan's brother, Brandon in All Stirred Up. ZA Maxfield has a talent in creating stories that have a sweet yet sexy romance with a dash of humor in it. I look forward to seeing what else this author can deliver for her readers in the future.

My Rating for Stirring Up Trouble: 4 Stars

My Reader Review for Roping in Forever by Destiny Blaine

When a reader hears the author name of Destiny Blaine, you know you are in for the ride of your life. This is an author who knows how to hook her reader from the first page and her new series debut is no exception. Roping in Forever is the first book in her Forever Series and it has a hunky rodeo cowboy finding his comeuppance in the form of a feisty heroine.

Now onto my personal review for Roping in Forever....

Corbin Cansey has made excuse after excuse on why he wouldn't make Bella McDermott his woman. She was too young....too innocent....too everything. Until Bella decides enough is enough. She is twenty one now and it's time for Corbin to either claim her as his own or let her go because she is tired of waiting for him to come to his senses. Can this fiery woman get her wild cowboy tamed long enough to have him face what was right in front of him-a love worth fighting for?

Destiny Blaine does it again with her introduction into the Forever Series. Tight writing, sexy cowboys, women who can go toe to toe with them and a storyline that hooks you from the beginning. I got to admit, after reading the book blurb for Roping in Forever, I was intrigued. Who doesn’t like a story where the heroine gives the hero a taste of his own medicine? I know I do. With the right amount of sexual tension, a fast paced storyline and intriguing characters, the reader is drawn into the world of rodeos and cowboys. Ms. Blaine is a talented author who knows how to keep the reader glued to the edge of their seat as they flip the pages, trying to see what happens next between Bella and Corbin.

Bella McDermott has loved Corbin Cansey since she was a teenager but he has had one excuse after another in not claiming her like she wants him to. Now grown up and ready to give him everything she has to offer him, Bella finds herself heartbroken after a surprise trip to see him at a local rodeo. What she sees there leaves her reeling, confused and more determined than ever to teach Corbin that he can not keep her on his terms. Now Bella is about to turn the tables on this rodeo romeo. Corbin is about to find out what it takes to love a woman like Bella.  I loved that Bella wasn't one of those weak willed heriones who needed a man for every detail of their life. She was innocent but also knew what she wanted and that was Corbin, come hell or high water. The sparks fly fast and furious between these two and man, that sexual tension rockets upward during the last half of the book. Corbin in the beginning had to grow on me. He was brash, sexy as sin and careless with Bella's heart. What I loved about these two characters was they grew in the story. Both find they are at a crossroad. Do they take that risk and go after what they want or do they both walk away? Quite a problem but one I found was satisfied nicely by the time the last page was read. Some secondary characters had me intrigued so I am hoping they show up in future books as well.

Roping in Forever is more than boy meets girl, they fall in love, and live happily ever after. It's about taking a risk with your heart and grabbing onto that brass ring. The prize isn't some shiny belt buckle but a love worth fighting for....if you just believe in yourself hard enough. I loved Roping in Forever and can not wait to see what else this talented author has to offer in her new series. If you arelooking for a hot and sexy cowboy story, then hightail it and grab Roping in Forever. It will leave you breathless.

My rating for Roping in Forever: 4.5 stars

My Personal Review for Promises by Marie Sexton

I picked up Promises because I liked the sound of the blurb. Wasn't sure what I was getting story wise but the minute I started reading I was hooked. This is the first book in the Coda Series and I have to admit, I stayed up really late just to finish it. Needless to say once pay day hits, I am getting the rest of the series to read. :-)

Now onto my review of Promises.....

Jared Thomas loves his small town of Coda, Colorado. He lives, works and has an enjoyable life…a bit one that is a bit lonely as well. Being the only other gay man has it disadvantages mainly there are no single gay men to have a relationship with. Jared was fine with that until Matt Richards walks into the door and into his life. From then on, it’s misunderstandings, falling in love, secrets and a whole lot of sexual tension between the two men. Will they be able to find a way to work past everything that is thrown at them to have the relationship they deserve?

I seriously don't know how I missed this series before now. I have seen the author around on loops, facebook, etc but never really explored her books. Well I am remedying that ASAP. Promises is an engrossing tale of a small town and the two men who find they are perfect for one another. What I loved the most about this story was how the author was able to incorporate small town life into the storyline. It made the story much more life like and I could really relate to the characters.
The characters in Promise had me at times, laughing, sighing and wanting to smack them for their stubbornness. They are so life like I swear I could find them in my small town and be friends with them. They were quite multi-dimensional and kept my attention till the very end. Jared Thomas is an openly gay man but doesn't flaunt it in his small town. He loves his town but the man prospects are dismal at best. Enter in new police officer, Matt Richards. He blew Jared away with his smile, the kindness he spies in his face and the loneliness he sees in his eyes. A kindred spirit they become friends and Jared is resigned to loving Matt secretly as Matt is straight....well Jared thinks he is that is. What results is secret desires, confusion, misunderstandings and more. Can Jared get Matt to accept and embrace his feelings or will Matt walk away from Jared forever?

I love how this author really peeled the layers from him and Matt so the readers could see the heart of their issues throughout the story. Each time I felt like I knew the characters, another layer would be ripped open and you would see a whole new side of them. It made the story much more life like to me. There were a few secondary characters that left quite an impression on me so I am hoping the author revisits them soon.

Promises is more than a simple romance story of two friends falling for one another. It's about taking a risk to reach for your happily ever after. That, yes you are worth that love the other person feels for you. It's about hope, promises of forever, love, friendship and so much more. Ms. Sexton delivers a timeless classic in Promises and it is one book I can see reading again, multiple times. I am eager to read the next chapter in the Coda series and can't wait to see what happens next for Matt, Jared and all their friends in Coda, Colorado.
If you are looking for a new author to explore, I highly recommend Marie Sexton. She delivers character rich stories that will leave a smile on your face. I can't wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve for her readers in the future.

My rating for Promises: 4.5 Stars

My Personal Review for Wolfman 3: Judgement by Brannan Black

I love this author's wolfman series so much. It has some amazing characters, scorching hot sex scenes and a storyline that will keep you glued to the edge of your seat. Wolfman 3: Judgement continues right after book two ends and we find Daniel and Mace dealing with Daniel's "Pack"-his mom and the rest of the human survivors he lived with.

After a virus kills many and changes some of the surviving males into wolfmen, life has changed and not always for the better. Survivors have banded together to survive this changing new world in which they live in and now they either have to work together or die.

Mace and Daniel are at Daniel’s home and it hasn’t been an easy visit. Distrust on the human side, Daniel torn between his mother and his lover and there is dissension within Mace’s pack. Life should be easy when you visit home again…right?

I got to admit, I love Daniel and Mace a lot. Mace is sexy in that alpha male sort of way and Daniel is a man after my own heart-smart mouthed and sexy. *grins*  These two fit perfectly together and the author does a remarkable job in keeping the characters fresh with each story. The secondary characters keep the story moving along at a nice even pace and the sex scenes between Mace and Daniel are so hot, I had to go cool off with some ice afterwards.

Ms. Black does it again in her latest release and I am eager to see what else she has planned for Mace, Daniel and the rest of these wonderful characters. Will the friends and family of Daniel accept he is the chosen of Mace, a wolfman they fear? I am looking forward to more continued adventures with Mace and Daniel as they adjust to a virtually different world that they live in. If you are looking for a well written story to enjoy at the beach, grab the entire wolfman series and settle in for hours of reading pleasure.

My Rating for Wolfman 3: Judgement: 4 Stars

My Personal Review for Serving of Love by Andrew Grey

I love Andrew Grey's work. The connection between characters, the lyrical way he delivers a story that is full of friendship and romance, it takes your breath away whenever you pick up one of his books. In his latest release, A Serving of Love (out May 23rd), we are treated to a story of two people who find they are just perfect for one another.

Meet Sebastian Franklin. He works at Café Belgie as front house manager and though people may think he is a party man, he actually enjoys quiet night’s home. Meeting Robert Fortier was something of a surprise one night and this begins a friendship that turns to something much more. But Robert has just finally accepted he is gay and is quite reluctant to let anyone in his life romantically. Well that is until he meets Sebastian and finds himself falling for the young man-hard.Can these two find a way to make a relationship work between them even as Sebastian's ex and their own issues crop up to derail them?

Mr. Grey does it again with A Serving of Love. It is a heartfelt story of two people finding they are perfect for one another even as they are as different as apples are to oranges. Mr. Grey makes it work as Sebastian and Robert find themselves falling in love even as events swirl around them that could leave them both heartbroken or deliriously happy. The writing was tight, story flowed smoothly and yes, Darryl and Billy are back as well as a few new characters to enjoy.

I love how Mr. Grey delivers character rich stories that leave you smiling in the end. With each page, I was invested more and more into Sebastian and Robert's relationship, got angry over certain idiots (have to read the story sorry guys) and rooted for them to get their happily ever after. They do say opposites attract and this is the perfect case for it. I loved how the differences between the main characters were not the main bone of contention between them as they explore a relationship together. Mr. Grey is a talented writer when he delivers a story that had a few serious issues involved in the storyline. I felt it enhanced the story instead of taking it over and making it too heavy of a read.

If you are looking for a perfect beach read, this is the right book to take with you. A Serving of Love delivers hours of reading enjoyment, delightful characters to root for and a romance that will leave you aching for more. If you haven't read A Taste of Love, I highly recommend reading it first but this can be read as a standalone story if you haven't. Mr. Grey delivers another perfect story to enjoy and I cannot wait to see what else he has up his sleeve for his beloved readers. If you love character rich stories that make you feel like you are home, then pick up one of this author's books. You won't be disappointed.

My rating for A Serving of Love: 4 Stars

My Personal Review for Nothing Ever Happens by Sue Brown

When author Sue Brown sent me her latest release, Nothing Ever Happens, II wasn't sure what to expect. Sure it would have the romance I love between two people but other than that I wasn't sure what to expect from this story. I am glad to say it blew me away. Nothing Ever Happens is a story that had me laughing one minute then crying the next-and I don't mean those few tears you cry when the allergies hit or the wind causes. Those big soul deep sobs that leave you exhausted in the end.

Sue Brown has given her readers a powerful, heart wrenching story that you will need a box of tissues to read. I was blown away by the sheer emotions that you feel throughout the story. Laughter, love, sadness, anger, passion are all felt by the reader as they follow Andrew and Nathan on their journey to a happily ever after.  Nothing Ever Happens is a story not just about two gay men but about two people who have baggage, fears, vulnerabilities and more to overcome in order to have their desires realized in the end. Ms. Brown captivated me from the moment I opened this latest book from her and I just could not put it down. It was riveting to experience the ups and downs these two men experience in their lives as life’s twists and turns took them, first, to their heart’s desire and then far from it. I stayed up late to finish it and found myself feeling every emotion the characters felt as I read Nothing Ever Happens.

Trying to put this book down was hard. You just had to read another page and then another...another until you were up till the wee hours just to see what would happen next for Nathan and Andrew. The heartbreaks, the passion, the friendship and the love all come out between the characters and though I wanted to hate a few of the secondary characters, I really couldn’t. The story was more than a romance between Andrew and Nathan; it was also about finding out who you are inside and out, accepting it and living with the consequences of your actions. This author delivered a few twists that had me gasping in disbelief as I turned the pages wondering how this could happen. The characters stay with you long after the last page is read.

Love isn’t smooth or Disney made but messy, wonderful and full of experiences. Ms. Brown delivers all that and more in Nothing Ever Happens with gusto. She is a talented author who knows how to make a story shine, with a few of little things to keep the reader on their toes and with characters you cannot help but fall in love with. Nothing Ever Happens is a book I plan to read again, this time with two boxes of tissues next to me.

If you are looking for emotional stories, complex and believable characters and a passion so timeless, then pick up a Sue Brown book. This author is now one of my favorite GBLT authors to explore and I can’t wait to see what she has in store next for her readers.

My rating: 5 Stars

My Personal Review for Inside Out by Lauren Dane

I found Lauren Dane's Brown family series by chance when I picked up Laid Bare one day and from then on, I was hooked. It had characters that I just fell in love with. Tattooed alpha males that had me drooling with each page, the strong, feisty women who fall in love with these bad boys and an attitude that whatever life throws at them they can handle.

With each book since Laid Bare, the story and characters grew and completely captured my  heart each time. I laughed, cried and rooted for these wonderful characters to get their chance of happily ever after and Ms. Dane does it with aplomb each time. Are you ready for the  heat, the love and the sex on two legs that are the Copeland and Browns? I highly recommend having a bucket of ice nearby to help cool you off at said sexy parts.

Now onto my review of Inside Out (Brown Family Book 3).

Ella Tipton survived a brutal attack from someone who she loved…once and now in the years since then, she has remade herself into a strong, independent woman that she used to be. Having day dreams about sexy, hunky Andrew Copeland was just the icing on the cake to Ella’s mind. Needless to say finding out he wants her-scars and all-has her ready to either throw up or to jump in with her eyes closed. Can Ella let her guard down long enough for
Andrew to sneak to steal her heart?

Andrew Copeland is the ultimate bad boy with a heart of gold. He has wanted Ella for years and when they are finally able to hook up; Andrew finds that this is the woman who is meant to be his in all ways. Andrew has his work cut out for him, though for Ella won’t be happy with just part of his heart-she wants the whole package. Can Andrew find a way to calm his fears and allow Ella to turn him Inside Out?

I fell in love with the Brown siblings from the moment they stepped on the pages of Laid Bare and I found a series that had me running the gauntlet of emotions. I smiled, laughed and cried with each book and believe me, the poor Kleenex box next to me always groaned when I started sniffling half way through Inside Out.

This is a series where you fall head over heels for all the characters. They are so well written and multi-dimensional that I felt if I met them in real life, I would immediately want to be friends with them. They were fun, laughed easily, loved hard and faced life head on with whatever it threw at them. For that was the biggest delight I could experience with a book.

The best part of this series, in my opinion, was the fact we see the characters grow and mature with each book. Life throw them curve balls and they find themselves falling for strong, independent women who know they deserve to be loved and respected. This is at the core of this series and in several of this author’s stories I have read. Inside Out is one of the best books this author has written and I cannot wait to see the final Brown Family book coming later this year is about. Lauren Dane writes interesting characters that deal with life head on, fall head over heels in love and sweep their woman off their feet. She is master at creating stories that hit every emotion a person can feel and then leave them wanting more in the end. If you haven’t picked up any of these series books or other ones by this author, I highly recommend you run to grab them. Ms. Dane is automatically on my auto-buy list now and I can not wait to see what she has up her sleeve next for her readers.

My Personal Review for Guilty As Charged by Anna James

I got this from Anna James to read and was absolutely enthralled with it from the first page. The cover was sexy, the story kept me riveted and the characters were delightful. For my first foray into Anna James books, I found a winner in Guilty as Charged.

Now onto my personal review of Guilty as Charged (Bradford Sisters Trilogy Book 1). Now available at Sugar and Spice Publishing HERE

Nicole Bradford never anticipated finding romance with wealthy Max Paradis but the sparks fly between them as they fall for one another. But danger looms as Nicole’s past threatens her future happiness. Can Nicole trust Max enough with the truth before it’s too late? What will happen if Max finds out before Nicole is ready to tell him? Will he be able to forgive her for hiding the truth about her past or let her walk away from their love?

I loved Guilty as Charged. Max and Nicole had sparks flying the moment they met and I loved the way the storyline built up the momentum of Max finding out Nic's past. The author does a great job in engaging the readers imagination with some intriguing characters. The story was fresh, interesting and had me on the edge with a few twists I didn't see coming.
Ms. James does a great job in creating a character rich story that will leave you wanting more when you read that last page. If you are looking for a hot, character rich storyline, then grab Guilty as Charged. I cannot wait to read book two and see what happens next for the Bradford Sisters.

My Personal Review for Morning Report by Sue Brown

When I picked up Sue Brown's Morning Report, I was just expecting a simple tale of two cowboys falling in love and finding their HEA. What I got was something much more. A story of two people fighting to  live their life as gay men together in a small town. Discrimination, friends who turn against them and a relationship tested for the first time. This is all what Morning Report is and more. Ms. Brown is one author I have on my auto-buy list since you get some highly emotional stories that resonate with the reader.

Morning Report is about a couple, Simon and Luke, who have been together for ten years.  They run Luke's family ranch, live as quiet as possible and keep their head down though Luke does have a temper at times.  When a new preacher comes to town, all that changes when this man preaches that the devil is in the town and in the process, gets the town folk all riled up. Small mindedness, discrimination and more happen when Luke and Simon find out and all hell breaks loose as they fight not just for themselves and their relationship but also for the ranch as some narrow minded individuals try to force them to leave in any way they can.

What I love about this story is it has an established couple who find their relationship is tested in a way they never experienced before. It is a story that has you laughing one minute, swooning the next then to switch it up, crying like a baby. It runs the gauntlet of emotions from the first page to the last. Ms. Brown does a great job in keeping the storyline moving at an even pace with humorous scenes sprinkled within to lessen the heavier parts. The characters are well written, multi-dimensional and deliver strong performances-even the secondary characters get involved which I loved.

Morning Report is more than a M/M Western story, it's also about finding a way to live the life you want in a time where there are places where you may not be welcomed. Ms. Brown is a talented writer who continues to deliver stories that claim her readers hearts and souls. If you are looking for a well written, delightful Cowboy story, then I highly recommend grabbing Morning Report. I do want to mention there may be scenes that may not appeal to you (i. e. sizzling sex scenes). If oyu haven't picked up a Sue Brown book, what are you waiting for??? RUN-don't walk-to grab this and her other books to enjoy. I know I am.

My Personal Review for The Godrabbit by Cynthia Sax

When I heard Cynthia Sax was writing the prequel to one of my favorite Protect and Serve stories, Badge Bunny, I was thrilled. Finally we get the story of how Flopsy and Grace finally got together and I had to admit, this was one naughty story.

Meet Flopsy Lupin. He is the man you want on a job when it skirts the laws of the land. He is one bad bunny who wants the one woman he thinks he can not have-Lady Grace Satin.

Lady Grace Satin is prim, proper and has the hots for Flopsy. When she is tired of Flopsy of not claiming her, she goes after the man herself. This proper woman has a naughty side you see and one that will have Flopsy tied up in knots, eager for more. Will they have a forever love after their hot one night together?

The Godrabbit is one naughty tale, I have to admit. My poor e-reader was smoking by the time I was done with it and I swore the bunny that lives under the garage was eying me too, not in a good way either. Ms. Sax delivers a short novella that will leave you clamoring for more. The sex is hot, the connection  between Flopsy and Grace is timeless and the story flows smoothly.  I love Cynthia Sax’s writing style. A dash of humor, sexy scenes to intrigue the imagination and some fresh, unique characters to fall in love with are in her stories. This is what makes me want any of this author’s books with a passion.

Flopsy is a character I love. A bad boy with a heart of gold-well if it concerns Grace that is. Otherwise you are wearing cement shoes and ending up in the river. The sparks these two create are smokin’ hot and I swore my e-reader went into convulsions from all the heat these two were packing and I don’t mean a gun either. Some secondary characters popped up that had me wondering what happened after the last page is read. I would love to know more on them and the world Ms. Sax has created here.

The Godrabbit is not for the faint of heart. It has a ton of heat, spice and everything nice. All the right things to have when you want to heat things up on a cool spring evening. I do suggest you grab an ice bucket or your significant other to  help cool you down. The heat gets molten while you read The Godrabbit. If you haven't experinced Ms. Sax's books yet, what are you waiting for-Christmas??!! I suggest you run out to Changeling PRess and see what she has to offer her rabid readers. I can say she has something for every palate-bunnies, vikings and wolves oh my.

My Personal Review for Protect & Serve: Savage Wolf by Silvia Violet

I got to admit...when I heard about Officer Wolf, I almost passed out from not breathing. Here was a character I fell for just from the blurb alone. He was so sinfully sexy, dominant and oh my god...., "hold the phones and keep me handcuffed big boy".  Silvia Violet has created a character I couldn't help but want to know more, inside the bedroom and out. *grins*

Without further adieu....my personal review for Savage Wolf.

Officer Aiden "Wolf" Savage is scary big yet has a gentle heart...well when he wants to show it that is. Meeting deer shifter, Natalie Fleetfoot, well he is about to find his match.

Natalie is on the run from some bad guys who have her brother. Meeting Officer Wolf is something she doesn't want yet she can not help but be drawn to him. He is everything her submissive nature wants and desires. The sparks fly between these two and as they go after the bad guys, Wolf and Natalie will find a love worth living for.

I absolutely LOVE Savage Wolf. It's scorching hot and has two intriguing characters to fall for. I have to warn you...you WILL either run into a cold shower or jump your significant other after reading this. Officer Wolf is a character I so want to meet in real life...well maybe. I have a feeling he would make me freak out or stutter like a loon as I gaze upon his manly form. *grins* The connection between Natalie and Wolf is explosive and Natalie keeps Wolf on his toes which I love.

Ms. Violet does a great job in creating simmering sexual tension, memorable characters and an intriguing storyline to be caught up in. I am looking forward to seeing if Ms. Violet runs back to the world she created here and of course, I would love to see what Officer Wolf and Natalie are up to in the future.

If you are looking for a short novella to heat things up for you, then I highly recommend PROTECT AND SERVE: SAVAGE WOLF. The entire Protect and Serve multi-author series is fabulous with interesting and HAWT stories to enjoy. If you are looking for a series to enjoy, I recommend t his one from Changeling Press.

My Personal Review for Seven Days by Andrew Grey

I don't know about you but when I picked up my first Andrew Grey book, The Best Revenge, I didn't know I would find an author I just had to read over the next few years. Each time I grabbed the newest book from this author, I always thought, "He can't get any better than the last book" and I was always proven wrong. Andrew Grey is a talented writer, one I know will always deliver a story that will leave me crying, laughing and smiling-sometimes all at once too.

Seven Days is this author's brand new release and one that completely hooked me from the beginning. I can't imagine the emotions an author experiences when he writes a pivotal scene(s) yet when a reader like myself is bawling their eyes out because of something he/she has written, well all I can say is "Pass the tissues".

Mr. Grey delivers a strong, emotional story about one man's journey through loss and despair to finding that slim sliver of hope shining through when life closes one door and then proceeds to open a new one for you to walk through. Evan Donaldson is that man and this is the journey he goes on in Seven Days. I can't begin to put my thoughts into words as they tumble like a sparkling brook over rocks. The reader feels every emotion Evan has and experiences and finds that silver lining under all those gray clouds.

Evan is a character I fell in love with the moment he stepped off the first page-dirty, scared, resigned to life on the streets at a tender age. The moment Father Valentin steps into the picture, you get a sense of how one door closes for Evan and another beckons-if he is willing to trust one man who doesn't want to hurt him. First love, changing lives, friendships and more are experienced by the reader as Evan travels through the years in Seven Days. Mr. Grey has a knack for creating the right amount of mystery, tension and romance in his stories that will completely captivate the reader.

Seven Days is more than a story of two people falling in love, its about faith, trust and the sense that life may give you a few twists but in the end, you find that what you are searching for is worth it in the end. Kudos to Mr. Grey for creating this heartfelt, emotional story and I look forward to seeing what else this author may have in store for his beloved readers.

My Personal Review for Tyler's Cowboy by Amber Kell

I got to admit...I wasn't sure what to expect with Tyler's Cowboy by Amber Kell. It was the first book I read by this 'new to me' author and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's a character driven story that had me glued to the pages from the beginning.

The cover is what got me right off the bat. I admit...I am a bit of a cover snob. If a sexy cover catches my eye, I will pick it to see what is all about and man, who doesn't like those hot, chiseled bodies on a cover????

If you never read an Amber Kell book, I suggest you start with Tyler's Cowboy. It introduces her new series, Cowboy Lovin' and though it's a short novella, it packs quite a punch straight out of the box.

I loved how the characters of Tyler and Cody got to know one another before jumping into bed together. It was a welcome change for me to read and with a few twist I didn't anticipate, Ms. Kell does a great job in keeping her readers mesmerized.

Tyler's Cowboy is a sweet, hot story of two people finding out they are perfect for one another. If you are looking for western story that delivers more for your money, then I highly recommend this newest introduction to author Amber Kell. I am eager to check out the rest of this prolific author's backlisted and upcoming titles.

My Personal Review for Sheriff Found by Joyee Flynn

I love Joyee Flynn and her active imagination. When I picked up Sheriff Found I was expecting a traditional shifter story. Well that was changed when the shifter hero was a beagle puppy. I haven't read anything like this before. It charmed me from the first page to the last as I got invested in the characters of Sheriff Found.

Now onto my personal review for Sheriff Found, available at Siren books, Amazon kindle and in ebook or print.

Toby Walker is sent out to the nearest town to find a cure for the illness plaguing his pack. As a beagle pup, he never anticipates finding his mate or that the legends he was told about when he was a kid is actually true. What can he do to convince his new found mate that he is more than a cute beagle puppy?

Sheriff Randall Markins day just went to the dogs…or one cute beagle puppy in fact. The one that just peed on his leg and he had to take home due to some illness he had. What he doesn’t anticipate is that this puppy is also one hot man…one that just told Randall he was marked and claimed by Toby as his mate. Randall doesn’t know whether to be angry he got mated without his permission or fall in love with the exasperating man. Can Randall and Toby find a way to work through their differences and find a way to make this relationship work or is it too late for them both?

Joyee Flynn is a talented author who knows how to create hot, sexy manlove stories to fall in love with. What I loved about Sheriff Found was the characters. You had playful Toby, the beagle shifter, strong, domaninat Randall (hey he made me swoon!!!! lol) and some wonderful secondary characters that left me hoping they would pop up in future books.

Sheriff Found is a fun, sweet, hot and at times, funny tale of a beagle puppy shifter named Toby who is sent out to find help for his pack who are very ill. I never read a shifter story that had beagle puppies as the shifter and found it very refreshing, different and a new spin on the shifter genre. Ms. Flynn delivers a story that will leave you laughing one minute, sighing the next and rooting for Randall and Toby to find their happily ever after. Ms. Flynn vividly captures the playfulness of a puppy and the cuteness they have. I loved the connection between Randall and Toby; it was quite hot at times and also tender when love began to grow between them. The writing was tight, the story flowed at a nice and even pace and the sex scenes complimented the growing attraction between the two main characters nicely.

The heat between Randall and Toby was at times fun, playful and then the author would flip the script and holy hotness batman, get the ice cubes out. It got so steaming hot I swore the computer was about the combust. The dynamics betwen the pack members had me intrigued especially as the reader was told about how it came into existence within the first few chapters of SHERIFF FOUND. I am eager to see when book two comes out as the ending left a few things open that had me racing to see what is next in the series.

Overall, SHERIFF FOUND is fun, at times hot, sexy tale of two people finding their destined mates and falling in love. Who said love was ever easy never met a puppy shifter. :)
Joyee Flynn has a winner in this latest series debut and I cannot wait to check outm ore of her work in the future.

My Personal Review for The Lancaster Rule by T. K. Toppin

I had the pleasure of reading a wonderful high octane science fiction story that left me wanting more. The Lancaster Rule is a wonderful blend of action/adventure, sci-fi, time travel and more. This is from a new to me author, TK Toppin and she does a great job in creating a cast of characters so life like, they felt like they would step off the page & into my living room.

Now onto my personal review for THE LANCASTER RULE (available at Champagne Books HERE)

Josie Bettencourt never anticipated going into her father’s suspension pod would last longer than the sixty days she thought it would be. The world is changed from when she remembers it after waking up and the people who populate this time think people like Josie aka Pod survivors, are to be arrested and destroyed. Saved by a rebel group, Josie finds herself running from the leaders, The Lancaster's', who have tyrannically run the last fifty years. Now Josie has to fight for her freedom and her life as she finds that her past is inexplicably linked to surviving in this new future. Can she find a way to stop the Lancaster's' from taking over the world while figuring out the secrets that haunt her every waking moment?

I got to admit, Ms. Toppin delivers one pure adrenaline rush while I was reading THE LANCASTER RULE. It was pure adventure from the beginning and frankly I could not put it down. The characters are well written and dominate the story. I love character rich stories and this one is written so well, I felt like I could be friends with Josie as she tries to flee the Lancaster’s. It almost had me feeling like I was along side Josie as she tries to figure everything out and who is the bad guy & the good guy. Ms. Toppin is a talented author who kept me riveted the entire time I was reading this latest story. The writing was tight, action packed and the romance flowed seamlessly within the pages to give it that added punch to the storyline.

Meet Josie Bettencourt. She thought that by helping her father with his latest project for sixty days was a piece of cake. What happens is something out of a futuristic/Science fiction movie. She goes to sleep and wakes up three hundred years later! I absolutely adored Josie. She was feisty, determined and though missing her family, she was determined to survive in this weird and strange new time. The characters are multi-dimensional, captivating the reader from the beginning and fairly brim with life while reading it. There were a few twists I didn’t even see coming and a few light hearted moments to give the reader a break on all the action.

THE LANCASTER RULE delivers a strong story that will grab you from the beginning and keep you riveted until the very end. I loved every minute of this wild science fiction story and hope this author comes back to Josie and her new world. I would love to see what happens next for all the characters I met here. If you enjoy high octane science fiction stories, then try THE LANCASTER RULE. It will surely be one adventure you don’t want to miss out on. Ms. Toppin is a ‘new to me’ author and one I plan to keep an eye out in the future.

My Personal Review for Last Call Europe: Black Wolf by Belinda McBride

I fell in love with Belinda McBride and her Last Call Europe stories when I read and reviewed Siberian Husky. I admit it...this entire multi-author series delivered some amazing stories and I am sincerely hoping they put them in a print collection. I would love to hold all of the stories in one volume instead of a file on my computer. :-P

Detective Brutus “Brutal” Ballantine is after a killer. Walking into the Last Call Bar, he is hoping for some relaxation before he is on the hunt again. Meeting frisky and delightful Jasper O’Shea was an unexpected surprise. So when the call comes over the loudspeaker, Brutal finds himself drawn to the laughing eyes of Jasper and the promise of passion he finds there. Can that passion go from one night to a forever love?

Black Wolf tells the story of a detective on the hunt for a serial killer, a love that changes both men and some of the hottest sex scenes to get me squirming.  The story was fresh, interesting and took a stern, serious detective and threw in a playful Siberian to shake things up and then flipped the script by having these two finally finding their mate-in one another. Talk about shocking!*grins*

The pairing of a wolf with a Siberian husky had me intrigued from the beginning. Talk about unusual in a sense but it fit perfectly and the reader is left, after the last page is read, wanting more of Brutus and Jasper. If you are looking for a fun, sexy and playful story to enjoy then I highly recommend Black Wolf by Belinda McBride. I do suggest that you read Devil's Advocate first as some of those characters pop in for a spell in Black Wolf.

My personal Book Review for Point of Beginning by Gale Stanley

I finished Gale Stanley's first book in her Gentlemen's Club, Point of Beginning and absolutely loved it. It had complex and vulnerable characters, a fast moving storyline and some sizzling sexual tension that had me squirming in my seat. If you are looking to try a new author, then grab this one from Ms. Stanley.

POINT OF BEGINNING
Book 1, The Gentlemen's Club
Silver Publishing
Available Now
Contemporary M/M

Meet Jack Monroe. He thinks he is bisexual until he falls for the new guy at work-the seemingly straight new guy-Alex James. Jack is conflicted and his insecurities just about derail him...until he meets a new friend who introduces him to the ultra-secretive The Gentlemen's Club. There he finds out that Alex is a dancer there on the weekends and from there lust and panic collide.

Alex James is gay and out of the closet but doesn't flaunt it at work. Drawn to Jack, who looks cute in his glasses, he is surprised to find that Jack is attracted to him as well. Can Alex get Jack to take a chance on him or will Jack walk away from the one good thing out there?

I loved the realness of the characters, first and foremost. The way Jack was panicking for not liking girls in that way to falling for his first man. It was written in a way where the reader actually got to see inside this character's soul. Jack is a man I could relate to. Who hasn't found that they thought they liked one thing but in actuality, it was something totally different. Alex was the older, experienced guy who helped Jack along his way to finally accepting the person inside of him. Both characters were sweet, sexy and oh god the sexual tension that was felt from the beginning had my computer almost smoking.
Ms. Stanley does a great job in creating such memorable characters in this introductory first book in her new series. If you are looking for a sweet, sexy story to enjoy then I highly recommend POINT OF BEGINNING. I do want to mention that you will jump your SO after or during reading this one. This is a story that needs a warning label slapped on it.

"WARNING! You will find yourself squirming in your seat while reading this and will combust if you don't find relief."

My rating: 3.5 stars out of five.

My Personal Review for As You Are by Ethan Day

I love Ethan Day and his book. There I said it and there is no twelve step program to get involved in either to cure me of this addiction. Not because I find this author’s books charming, out loud funny and romantic in the least but because I don’t consider myself as having a problem at all.*grins*

AS YOU ARE has two people finding out they are just right for one another but first they need to confront themselves and their perceptions of what love really is. Is it just like those old Hollywood glamor movies where the hero sweeps the heroine (or hero in this case) off their feet or is it more complex than that?

Julian Hallowell is a man who knows that "THE ONE" will swoop down and give him the full "I Love you, Man" speech and sweep him off his feet. Well he hopes anyways. Julian has been in love with his roommate, Danny, for over a year and though the path to true love is never smooth says it all. Through the course of the story, we find Julian finally seeing that hey Danny isn't really into you at all and finds himself dating Andy, a nice young man who turns Julian on like no tomorrow and tries to forget his feelings for Danny. I just love the fact Julian was as complicated and had insecurities like everyone else. He wasn't perfect which had me liking him even more.Perfect characters annoy me and Julian was far from perfect. He had the perfect love in his head and nothing and no one was going to deny him that-even as the reader & Julian found out, love is messy and doesn't always go according to plan.

AS YOU ARE is one of those stories where you, the reader, find you want these people to be your friend in real life. The characters are multi-dimensional, delightful and absolutely enjoyable-warts and all. The writing is tight and story moves along at a nice pace. The author knows his characters and keeps the reader glued till the very end when the reader will find out if Julian gets his happily ever after with Andy or not.

Mr. Day delivers funny, romantic, real story that will leave you giggling at times and sighing at other times. A talented author, Ethan Day delivers another winner in AS YOU ARE and I, for one, can not wait to see what else this author has in store for his readers in the future. I am sure it will include snarky and wonderful heroes who find that love is not that smooth path they thought all along.Want to read a story that leaves a smile on your face? Grab AS YOU ARE and settle in for an afternoon of reading pleasure. I would hope Ethan comes back to Julian in the future. I would love to see what he has been up to along with all his family and friends.

My Personal Review for Anything For You by Ethan Day

You know you found the perfect author to read when you start smiling within the first five pages of one of their books. Ethan Day is  one of my favorite GBLT authors and nope I am not stalking him *shakes head as I click through his website seeing what else I can read*, I claim to be a very devoted fan. * hides the pink silly string*

Anything For You is his latest release and one I fell off my chair laughing while reading. I can attest my butt and hip don't like Ethan right now but I don't count them too much in the whole "stalking the author" plan. *snickers*

Ethan Day has another winner with Jason Miller finding that staying in the closet is about as hard as falling in love...with your polar opposite in fact. Chad Wellington is out and proud to be a gay man. Falling for Jason was easy.....getting Jason to admit to himself that it was ok to be gay and out was a little bit tougher. The snarky comments from Jason had me giggling, the acceptance from Chad was a delight and the holy moly, melt the panties sex scenes had me wishing I could call DH home for an afternoon "lunch break". *fans face*

Two opposites attract yet somehow managed to be just perfect for one another is what ANYTHING FOR YOU is about. Mr. Day is a talented author who definitely has the feel for his characters and lets them have their fun while telling a highly entertaining story. If you are looking for a sweet, romantic story that will leave you with a smile on your face then grab ANYTHING FOR YOU. I am hoping Mr. Day comes back to Jason, Chad and their friends in the future. I would love to see what they are doing next.

Want your Ethan Day fix? Stalk...err check him out...oh hell with it.....run over to his website and see what lovely books he has out and coming soon. If you see me there....walk away...slowly....like you don't see me. *grins*
